Description
A manuscript notebook kept by Emilia Wyndham Poole, a professional nurse, to enter patient case notes from January 1897 through December 1898. The entries contain the patient's name, disease or operation, vital signs, wound condition, medications, general medical state and, often, observations on the patient's mental state.
Background
Emilia Wyndham Poole (1853-1905) was born and died in Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, Canada. She was one of five siblings [the five names are entered on the last page of this volume].
