Description
A double-spaced typed report of 135 pages titled: "Pfefferkorn Study. [Los Angeles County General Hospital]". National League of Nursing Education, New York. Blanche Pfefferkorn, at the time Director, Department of Studies, National League of Nursing Education, conducted a study of the nursing service provided in the Los Angeles County Hospital and the Los Angeles Osteopathic Hospital; and, since student nurses from the County General Hospital School of Nursing were receiving clinical training in the institution, the School of Nursing is included in the report's recommendations.
Background
Blanche Pfefferkorn (1884-1961) received her nursing diploma from the Johns Hopkins Hospital Nurses' Training School in 1911, and a BS degree from Columbia University in 1916. In 1928 she earned an MA in educational research from Columbia Teachers College.
