This collection contains two books compiled by Capos C. "Chip" Culpepper based on the correspondence of his father, T/Sgt. Conley E. Culpepper, USAAF and mother, Delphia J. Ashley during the Second World War, as well as digital copies kept on a flash drive.

These stories and compilations of correspondence were compiled by Capos C. "Chip" Culpepper II, the son of the letter writers, Conley and Delphia Culpepper. Technical Sergeant Conley Edward Culpepper, United States Army Air Force (3/26/1924 - 8/30/2000) was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and joined the military in 1943. Delphia Jane "Del" Ashley (12/5/1924 - 3/31/2014) was born in Sheridan, Arkansas and met Conley when she was 16 years old. They courted and continued correspondence after Conley joined the Army. They married on August 24, 1945.
