Description
Leonid Semenovich Vilenskii (1880-1950) was a Communist Party functionary. David Brontman (1915-2002) was a Soviet engineer specializing in aviation and space technology. The collection includes personal documents and artifacts.
Background
Leonid Semenovich Vilenskii (1880-1950) was a Communist Party functionary; he was a delegate to the Second Congress of the Russian Social-Democratic Workers' Party in 1903. David Brontman (1915-2002) was a Soviet engineer specializing in aviation and space technology. Brontman spent most of his career with the Lavochkin Aviation Bureau, working on such projects as Luna-21, Mars-2, and the Venera and Vega spacecraft.
