Larry Siegel was born in New York City in 1925 and attended the University of Illinois. Siegel started his career as a freelance
writer for Playboy and Mad magazines. When he moved to California in 1968, he began writing for television, motion picutures,
and stage. Siegel's television credits include that of head writer for
The Carol Burnett Show for three and a half seasons, and story editor for
Thats My Mama among others. He is the recipient of Emmy Awards and a Writers Guild awards.
