On December 5, 1977, Alexander Woodside II loaned a photograph album, a chart, and four photographic prints to the San Francisco
Maritime Museum. SFMM made 13 copy negatives. Prints were made from some of the copy negatives.
SAFR-00001 is a blanket accession that was transferred from the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) to the San Francisco
Maritime National Historical Park in September 1988. GGNRA had previously acquired the collection from the San Francisco Maritime
Museum when it became a unit of the National Park Service in 1977.
GOGA-00789 was transferred from the J. Porter Shaw Library to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) in February
1985.

The Alexander Woodside photograph collection, circa 1890-1925, (SAFR 24821, P77-025) is comprised of photographs related to
Captain Alexander Woodside, James Eillott Woodside, and the Pacific States Trading Company codfish processing station at Elliot
Cove, California. The collection has been processed to the Item level and is open for use.
Contains photographs of codfishing schooners, crew, and Woodside family members at the Pacific States Trading Company codfish
processing station located at Elliot Cove, California, in the Craquinez Strait, circa 1890-1925. There are 13 unique photographic
images in 20 physical forms (14 black-and-white copy negatives and 6 black-and-white photographic copy prints).
Includes photographs of Captain Alexander Woodside, president of the Pacific States Trading Company, and his son James Eillott
Woodside. Also includes photographs of OTTILLIE FJORD (built 1892; schooner, 3m) docked at Eillot Cove and her crewmembers
unloading cod. Other vessels photographed in the collection are TAURUS (built 1902; schooner, 4m), CAROLYN FRANCES (built
1918; schooner, 3m), and possibly the crew of C.T. HILL (built 1889; schooner, 2m).
