    Biographical/Historical note

    Norm Applebaum was born in Chicago, Illinois, raised in Southern California, and graduated from Arizona State University in 1968 with a degree in architecture. Applebaum studied with Paolo Soleri, Cal Straub, and was mentored by Cliff May. His works are mainly residences, with a few commercial buildings, in the San Diego area.

    Scope and Contents note

    This is a partial and growing collection. The Norm Applebaum papers include 4 DVDs, two scrapbooks of early works and clippings, newspapers, photographs, 5 books, two magazines, and three sets of architectural sketches. Additional donations include photographs, sketches, one model, and architectural drawings of some of his large projects.
