Background
California State Assemblymember Eugene "Gene" Mullin (1937-2021) was born and raised in San Francisco. He graduated with a
Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of San Francisco in 1960 and, in 1967, received his Lifetime Secondary
Teaching Credentials. He later went on to attain graduate studies at Santa Clara University, San Francisco State, and the
College of Notre Dame.
