    Scope and Contents

    The Lieutenant Commander Herbert Goebert World War II Collection includes a diary and other items from Goebert's time as a United States Naval Reserve surgeon on active duty from 1943 to 1944. His diary describes his medical work on multiple military bases, and includes an account of D-Day. In addition to the diary there are also portrait and business card printing plates, a small sewing kit, and an issue of The Speaker's Library Magazine. Items in the collection are arranged in chronological order.
