Description
This album amicorum was kept by nurse Lillah M. Woodroffe beginning in December 1919. She served at Hollymoor Military Hospital
from 1919 through December 1921, when it had transformed into an orthopedic hospital. Album entries continue at Bath Hospital
from 1922 through 1924. The album contains autographs, poems, three drawings, and one photograph of an infant, all entered
by convalescing soldiers. A notable inclusion is "The Hollymoor V.A.D.," ten stanzas by "B. Sutton, Lieut. R.E.," to be set
to the tune "I'll be the ruler of the Queen's Navy" from "H.M.S. Pinafore."
