Biography/Administrative History
Carl Thomas Butner was born in Missouri on August 10, 1899. In 1919, he began working for Northwestern Pacific. During his
lengthy career he worked as a watchman, fireman, and locomotive engineer. He continued to work intermittently for Northwestern
Pacific until 1963.
