Biographical / Historical
In 2004, Stewart Menking founded the program Adopt-an-Eph that provides apolitical support to Williams College alum who are
deployed. The program provides support by sending care packages, letters, and greeting cards to those serving.

Content Description
This collection contains correspondence sent by 96 service members to Stewart Menking, during and after the Iraq War. Also
included in the collection are various memorabilia sent to Menking, including flags, pins, and key chains pertaining to the
Iraq War.
Many of the authors thanked Stewart for the organization of the "Adopt-an-Eph" program that had volunteers send care packages
and letters of support to the service members touring in Iraq. The correspondence expressed gratitude for the various donations.
Members also gave brief biographies of themselves as well as information on where they were serving. Some of the locations
included Baghdad, Kuwait, Fallujah, and Balad.
