Biography / Administrative History
Harold S. Jacoby, sociology professor at University of Pacific
(Stockton, Calif.) compiled census cards for the 1950 census in Stockton,
California. Data is by ward and township on approximately 275 cards. Cards
tally the population noting males, females, and ratio. Data also includes age
groups from 1 to 4; 5 to 14; and 65 plus. Also tallied are "nat. whites,"
foreign born whites, Negroes, Spanish Speakers, and other races by number, per
cent, and "rank."
