Abstract: Robert Curtis Wilson was an artist,
teacher and author who earned his bachelors and masters degrees from San Fernando Valley
State College, which later became California State University, Northridge. The collection
consists of multiple pen and ink drawings done by Wilson in the 1950s and 1970s.

Biographical Information:
Robert Curtis Wilson was born in Sullivan, Indiana in 1926. After serving in the Army in
World War II, he moved to Granada Hills and attended San Fernando Valley State College,
which later became California State University, Northridge. Wilson earned his bachelor's and
master's degree from San Fernando Valley State, and then taught art at Northridge Junior
High School, Pierce College, and State University College in Buffalo, New York.
Wilson also worked as an artist utilizing different mediums but was mostly known for
landscape paintings. He also authored art books, historical fiction and murder
mysteries.
Scope and Contents
The
Robert Curtis Wilson Art Collection consists of multiple
pen and ink drawings done by Wilson in the 1950s and 1970s, including a number of individual
portraits and two series of drawings: "The Wandering Fergus" and "The Madmen of Goll"
