Collection Scope and Content Summary
This collection contains press clippings, correspondence, programs, agendas, minutes,
photographs, and other materials pertaining to the Westside Action Group (WAG), a poltical
action group based in San Bernardino, California that advocates for the African American
community. Includes business and personal correspondence between WAG members and other
organizations, agendas and minutes from WAG meetings, programs and photographs detailing WAG
events, and newspaper articles covering WAG's efforts in the community.
Historical Note
The Westside Action Group (WAG) was founded in 1972 by Hardy Brown, Sr. and Bob Parker as a
political action organization to advocate for and support San Bernardino's African American
community in the city's political and economic landscapes.
