Description
The collection consists of 31 postcards with photographs of British women in their work uniforms during the First World War,
when they were called to replace men in a variety of support and factory positions. Women on the postcards include members
of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC), munitions workers for the National Projectile Factory, and submarine workers among
others.
