Description
The Adolph Hitler last will and testament parody flyer is an illustrated parody of Hitler's will. The parody--titled "Last Will and Testament of Adolph Hitler Alias Adolph Schickelgruber"--addresses both individuals and nations, including Benito Mussolini, Emperor Hirohito, Heinrich Himmler, Hermann Göring, Joseph Goebbels, Joseph Stalin, Franklin D. Roosevelt, France, England, and others. The immediate source of this acquisition, along with descriptions of similar flyers held elsewhere, credit D. Robins & Company (New York) as the publisher of the flyer. However, D. Robins & Company is not printed on the flyer in this collection. La France Novelties (Boston 13, Mass.) is printed on this flyer. The front of the flyer features caricatures of Adolph Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Emperor Hirohito, Joseph Stalin, Uncle Sam, and Winston Churchill. The flyer is not dated, but variations of the flyer described elsewhere are dated in the early 1940s.
