Description
The Betty Fairchild papers consists of the unpublished typescript, "Living Through It: Personal Explorations of AIDS in People's Lives" (alternatively entitled, "AIDS and the Family"), along with some newspaper clippings about her and her pro-gay activities in the 1970s and 1980s. Fairchild, a long-time LGBT ally and co-founder of several P-FLAG chapters, wrote the book, "Now That You Know: A Parent’s Guide to Understanding Their Gay and Lesbian Children," which was published in 1979.
