design drawing. Of interest is Butler's handwritten journal from 1928 with his running account of the production of CHASING
THROUGH EUROPE, which he directed.

Biography
David Butler was a former silent screen star and contract studio director who began his directorial career at Fox in 1927.
He is most notably known for directing Shirley Temple in four films.
