Constitution, meeting minutes, correspondence, flyers, directories, financial records and other material from the Hollywood chapter of the Lambda Amateur Radio Club, 1991-1992.
Background
Lambda Amateur Radio Club (LARC) was an association of chapters (the Hollywood chapter and Golden Gate chapter, to name a couple) whose primary objectives included the following: to promote radio knowledge and proficiency among the gay and lesbian community; provide public service in connection with parades and other activities; and offer a shared sense of technical expertise, social responsibility, and friendly camaraderie. The Hollywood chapter of LARC also distributed a monthly newsletter and engaged in events such as the AIDS Bike-A-Thon.
