    Biographical / Historical

    Albert K. Bender (1921-2016) was an American author and a ufologist. He wrote the 1962 non-fiction book "Flying Saucers and the Three Men." Bender founded the International Flying Saucers Bureau in 1952, and in 1965, he founded the Max Steiner Music Society.

    Scope and Contents

    This collection consists of the audiotapes related to the Max Steiner Music Society and its founder, American author and ufologist, Albert K. Bender (1921-2016). Bender founded the Max Steiner Music Society in 1965. Members included actors John Wayne, Fred Astaire, and Vincent Price. They published a journal and newsletter.
