    Biographical / Historical

    Shelley Jean Hoyt is a Bay Area painter, typographer, and book artist. She received her BFA in Painting and Drawing from the University of Montana, Missoula. In 1974, she co-founded Black Stone Press in Missoula, Montana with her husband, Peter Rutledge Koch. Hoyt was married to Peter Koch from 1975 until 1984.

    Content Description

    Collection consists of printing project files, binding models and binding experiments, and materials relating to Shelley Hoyt's career as a bookbinder and book artist.
