The collection includes documents pertaining to the University Policy Committee at Pepperdine from 1983 to 1992. Topics include
student recruitment, university finances, student employment, tuition and other student charges, admissions, graduation, faculty
housing, voice mail, and WASC accreditation.
The University Policy Committee oversees facilities and general university management. It meets to discuss and approve various
introductions and changes to the university policy. It controls policies, such as off-campus and student housing; retirement
privileges and plans; health and medical coverages; sick and vacation days; campus development, including building name and
finance approval; fundraising plans; financial aid; and other general management policies. The original members of this committee
included David Davenport, Bill Adrian, Michael Adams, Larry Hornbaker, Mike O'Neal, William Phillips, Shirley Roper, and John
Watson. Later members included Andrew Benton, James Wilburn, among others.
