    This collection contains one letter written by Pvt Mathew J. Misiur, USA to his daughter Rosemarie on her birthday. This letter was written on November 2, 1944, during the Second World War.
    In the letter, Misiur talks about how much he loves and misses his family. Of interest is the way in which Misiur explains "Uncle Sam" and the Second World War to his young child. He also talks about his leaving for war and how hard it was to say goodbye.
