    Biographical / Historical

    Jim Brown (1932-2017) was an American television journalist. Brown was an entertainment correspondent for the Today Show on NBC from 1978 to 2001 and was known as "Our Man in Hollywood."

    Scope and Contents

    This collection contains more than 1800 press kits for American releases of movies and television shows, chiefly from the 1980s and 1990s, collected by NBC Today Show correspondent Jim Brown (1932-2017). Boxes 1-24 contain film press kits and Boxes 25-32 contain television press kits. The press kits are folders containing images and information about the film or television show, which were distributed to publicize the project's release.
