    Biographical / Historical

    Crecencio Padilla is an activist and founder of the North Monterey County Chapter of LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens). He formerly worked as an investigator with the Monterey County Public Defender's office.

    Scope and Contents

    Materials consist of photographs, correspondence, meeting minutees, and personal notes from Padilla's tenure as a civil rights activist in the Monterey Bay Area. Includes Padilla's records and founding documentation as the founder of the local LULAC chapter, as well as numerous newspaper clippings related to Padilla's career as a private investigator with the Monterey County Public Defender's office and President of LULAC.
