Immediate Source of Acquisition
The Joseph Kerman papers were given to The Jean Gray Hargrove Music Library by Lucy Kerman on August 6, 2014.
Arrangement
The collection had been packed somewhat haphazardly in boxes, so the decision was made to divide the materials into personal
and professional sections. The professional section was subdivided further to reflect the different facets of Kerman's work
as researcher, author, critic, and educator.
