Description
Oaths of Allegiance serve as solemn declarations in which elected or appointed officials pledge to "support and defend" the
Constitutions of both the US and the State of California. Surety bonds act as financial guarantees that officials will perform
their duties to the best of their abilities and within the bounds of the law. Examples of officials represented in this collection
include judges of Superior Court, the County Clerk, the executive officer or court administrator of the Superior Court, and
the Recorder. Files are not all inclusive and cover the years 1937-1998.
