Letters from Mexican sharecropper Luz Moreno to his daughter and son-in-law in the United States.
Background
Luz Moreno was a sharecropper from an impoverished background in San Miguel el Alto, Jalisco, Mexico. His daughter Francisca "Pancha" Moreno was married to Juan Rivera, and the couple left Mexico to immigrate to Stockton, California, in the early 1950s.
