Biography/Administrative History
Camp Fire was founded in 1910 by Luther Gulick, M.D., and his wife, Charlotte Gulick “to guide young people on their journey
to self-discovery.” A chapter existed in the Santa Clara Valley from around 1911 or 1912, until the mid-2000s, when it went
bankrupt and closed its doors.
Scope and Content of Collection
Camp Fire USA Greater Bay Area Chapter organizational records, including administrative records and newsletters, chapter activity
scrapbooks and programs, official books and marketing material, camping and event photographs and ephemera. The collection
also includes uniforms, beads, and other objects.
