Description
The bulk of this assembled collection consists of official individual and group portraits of the justices of the California Supreme Court, dated circa 1860-2020. Most photographs are twentieth-century photographic prints. All nineteenth-century prints, with the exception of the Solomon Heydenfeldt cabinet card, are reproductions of framed portraits of the justices, likely made from negatives in 2004. Official photographers include Gabriel Moulin Studios, San Francisco, and Sirlin Studios, Sacramento.
