Abstract: Arch Williams (1936 June 6-1996 June 15) was a muralist and activist living in San Francisco. In 1996, Williams received a
Lifetime Achievement Award from the Precita Eyes Mural Arts Center. Photographic negatives, slides, videos, drawings, and
sketches document Williams’ artistic work with Precita Eyes and related to AIDS. Also included are photographic slides documenting
marches and protests, including the protests against the 1977 eviction of residents of the International Hotel in San Francisco,
pride marches in the 1980s and 1990s, and events related to HIV/AIDS.
