GLAAD clipped references to gays and lesbians in newspapers and magazines as part of “Media Watch,” an on-going project to monitor and respond to media coverage. The subjects range from the Boy Scouts to gays in the military, and from reactions to the motion picture Basic Instinct to the 1992 elections. There are also guidelines for responses to the news stories and summaries of GLAAD’s reactions to each article.
