Description
Born and raised in North Carolina, in 1993 Alan Sizemore moved to San Francisco, where he served as President of the San Francisco
Names Project, a non-profit organization aimed at educating and raising awareness around HIV and AIDS. The collection was
donated by Thomas Geller, who purchased the materials from an estate sale. Materials include correspondence and written notes
between Sizemore and friends during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s; Sizemore’s school yearbooks and certificates; business cards
and ephemera related to Sizemore’s jobs in North Carolina; and scrapbooks documenting the activities of the NAMES project
from 1988 to 1995.
