The 1980 National Conference on Chinese American Studies was held in San Francisco from October 9 to October 11, 1980, chaired
by Him Mark Lai.
Scope and Contents
Materials consist primarily of typescript copies of papers that were presented at the 1980 National Conference on Chinese
American Studies, covering themes of Chinese immigration, identity, education of Chinese Americans, Chinese American Studies
as an area of study, and more. Also includes some correspondence related to the conference planning, contact lists, and other
documents.
