Juana Fernández Morales de Ibarbourou (1892-1979) was an Uruguayan poet also known as Juana de América.

Scope and Contents
This collection contains papers of Uruguayan poet Juana de Ibarbourou (1892-1979). Materials consist of typewritten and handwritten
manuscripts and correspondence to and from Ibarbourou. Correspondents include Carlos Reyles, Carlos Rodriguez Pintos, and
Arthur Capdevila. Among the manuscripts are drafts of sonnets, poems, and short stories titled "Creo en los duendes" and "El
Gran Viaje de Dido." There is also a mounted black-and-white photograph of Ibarbourou and a phonograph record: "Juana de Ibarbourou:
Poemas" (Antologia Sonora, Buenos Aires).
