The collection contains materials collected by Virginia Hamilton Adair's friend Marcyn Del Clements, including poetry written by Virginia Hamilton Adair, drafts of Adair's first two books, magazines with articles about Adair, and videocassettes related to Adair.

Marcyn Del Clements is a published poet and she was a friend of Virginia Hamilton Adair (1913-2004). The two met in the early 1990s and belonged to a Claremont, California poetry group called "The Fortnitelies." Along with others, Clements assisted Adair in typing her poetry and preparing her books after Adair lost her vision.
