Biographical / Historical
Irving Brecher (1914-2008) was an American screenwriter. He created, produced, and was head writer for the original radio
and early TV edition of "The Life of Riley." Brecher wrote for the Marx Brothers comedy act including their vaudeville, Broadway,
and motion pictures.
Scope and Contents
Collection consists of acetate recordings of The Life of Riley radio show, from 1944 to 1951, from screenwriter Irving Brecher
(1914-2008). Inventories of recordings are present in each box.
