    Scope and Content

    Correspondence, article manuscripts, periodical list, handwritten book reviews, research bibliography, and clipping from gay journalist, Don Volk, 1976-1987. Volk was a news editor for the Los Angeles gay newsmagazine Frontiers in the mid 1980s. The collection includes a 1976 letter to UCLA psychologist, Evelyn Hooker, regarding Volk's research for an article.

    Biographical Note

    Don Volk was an aspiring dancer who became a journalist in his mid-30s. He was a news editor for the Los Angeles gay newsmagazine Frontiers. He also served as president of the Gay and Lesbian Press Association, circa 1986-1987.
