    Biographical / Historical

    Jason Edward Squire was born in Brooklyn, New York, November 3, 1948; BS, Syracuse University (1969) and MA, University of California, Los Angeles (1972); radio program director (1968-69); television production associate (1969-70); assistant to senior production vice-president, United Artists Corp. (1971-73); executive in charge of development E.P.A. Films, Inc. (1974-78); associate director of television movies, 20th Century-Fox; writings include The movie business : American film industry practice (editor, 1972), The movie business book (editor, 1983), and Red harvest (screenplay).

    Scope and Contents

    Collection consists of transcripts for 60 interviews conducted by Jason Squire with motion picture industry personalities. Includes 27 interviews for the book The movie business : American film industry practice (c1973) and 33 interviews for the book The movie business book (c1983). Interviewees include Sydney Pollack, Mel Brooks, Stirling Silliphant, Stanley Kramer, and Bud Yorkin.
