Scope and Content of Collection
v.1 “Berkeley Unified School District. Department of Art. Myrtie Gifford, supervisor of art.” Contains clippings, photos of
exhibits, photos of art works by students many with student’s name, letters of praise for Gifford and her work for the war
effort (WWII), for community service, for conducting art institutes, etc. Some from high school students, some from elementary
school students.
v.2 Mainly photographs of elementary school students working on art projects, with some photos of finished projects. The first
photo in the volume shows Gifford with some students. No dates.
