Biographical / Historical

Technical Sergeant Harry A. Berger, United States Army Air Force was of Jewish heritage and served with 2nd Air Division, 2nd Combat Bombardment Wing, 445th Bombardment Group, Squadron 702. It is believed that he was stationed in Tibenham, United Kingdom roughly from 1942 until late 1944.

This collection consists of 288 personal correspondence written to TSgt. Harry A. Berger, USAAF from friends and family during the Second World War.
Authors include an assortment of individuals, including friends and family, with the bulk of the collection originating from Vivian D. Hirsch, Selena Brody and Dorothy Dopp. This collection covers a period from 1938 until 1947.
This collection also includes a small photograph of Harry A. Berger, some miscellaneous ephemera and one copy of Yank magazine, from May of 1945.
