The Historic Photo Album Collection of the San Diego Natural History Museum includes 10 albums and 2341 photographs. The albums were assembled in the 1920s and 1930s and document work of the Museum staff.

Founded in 1874, the San Diego Society of Natural History is the oldest scientific institution in southern California. The Museum, located in Balboa Park from 1917, has pursued its missions of public education, collection exhibition and preservation, and scientific research for over 100 years. The Historic Photo Album Collection documents the work of the Museum during the 1920s and 1930s.
