Historical note
The UCLA Multicampus Division in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology (MPGMG) was founded in 1979 within the School of Medicine.
In 1991, it became known as the Multicampus Program in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology. Currently, the program also provides
online resources under the name GeroNet. With over 50 full-time faculty, it has become one of the world’s largest academic
centers for geriatric medicine, offering activities at the undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, fellowship, and faculty
development levels. It is comprised of five core sites in the Los Angeles area including community-based, nursing home, and
home care programs.
Scope and Contents note
Record Series 812 contains records related to the administration of Multicampus Program in Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology
fellowship programs from 1980-2000. Files include meeting minutes and agendas, correspondence, brochures, evaluation criteria,
and other administrative records. Other materials include records of program-wide meetings, continuing medical education programs,
and curricular materials.
