    Scope and Contents

    The A.L. Harris Water Project Papers contain photographs, correspondence, and memorandums of agreement related to water projects Harris worked on in the early 1920s. Projects include the Paradise Verde Irrigation District (1920-1922), Lotus Valley Water Users Association Project (1921-1922), Southwest Cotton Company near Avondale, Arizona, Manhattan Beach Pier (1921), Granite Reef Dam, and the Houdo Project in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Correspondence is primarily between A.L. Harris and F.H. Newell. There are also photographs of Panama from 1900-1901, newspaper clippings related to Theodore Roosevelt, and unidentified photographs of a substation in Arizona.
