This collection contains issues of the "Journal of Black Psychology." It also includes one issue of "Journal of School Psychology," and "Chains and Images of Psychological Slavery."

The "Journal of Black Psychology" was established in 1974 by the Association of Black Psychologists. The association was founded in 1968 in San Francisco, California by Black Psychologists from around the country.
