Description
Jack Whitehouse was a public relations executive, consultant, writer, and editor. This collection comprises primarily film
reels and video recordings relating largely to the Japanese Steel Industry, one of Whitehouse's clients. It also contains
correspondence, speeches, annual reports, press kits, presentations, and articles relating to the clients of Whitehouse's
firms (International Public Relations Co., Ltd and Jack Whitehouse Associates), general press and publicity materials, slides
and photographs, and audio cassettes and sound recordings.
Background
Jack Pendleton Whitehouse was a public relations executive and consultant, born in Los Angeles on August 18, 1924. He was
a UCLA graduate, writer for the UCLA Office of Public Information from 1945 to 1949, and an editor of the Los Angeles Independent
Publishing Company from 1946 to 1948.
