Biographical / Historical
Tim Paulson was a journeyman tilesetter who served in several labor organizations including the San Mateo County Central Labor
Council (2001-2004), the San Francisco Labor Council (2004-2018) and the San Francisco Building and Construction Trades Council
(2018).
The Labor Party Advocates (LPA) formed around 1989-1990, as group that would advocate for a political party for the labor
movement. The LPA joined with other forces and became the Labor Party (LP) at a founding convention held on June 7-9, 1996.
