Description
Photographs, negatives, correspondence, and drawings, circa 1919-1990, from Norma Roos and Virginia Kaitchuck, who lived together in Chicago, Illinois. The photographs document Roos and Kaitchuck's personal life in Chicago, Illinois; particularly, their social and leisure activities, including all-women house parties, visits to bars, softball games, outings to the zoo, trips to swim in a lake, and their daily life around the house.
Background
Norma L. Roos was born in Illinois in 1919, and she died in 1999. Virginia C. Kaitchuck was born in Illinois in 1919 and died in 2001. The couple lived most of their lives together at their home in the East Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.
