Nancy Karp + Dancers, a San Francisco dance company, was founded in 1980 by Nancy Karp, who has created more than 75 works
for the company's dancers. The company is known particularly for its site-specific performance work, including performances
commissioned for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Oakland Museum, and a commission for the Choreographers' Festival

Among Karp's acclaimed works is the 1993 work entitled
Kristallnacht, Night of Broken Glass, created in collaboration with composer Alvin Curran and designers Jack Carpenter and Sandra Woodall. The work was premiered
before sold-out houses at San Francisco's Theater Artaud.
